LabOnline User Help
What's in this Guide?
The LabOnline Help Guide describes the functionality of each page in LabOnline. It includes step by step instructions for each feature. The intended audience includes all users of LabOnline. Because LabOnline is customizable based on laboratory needs, some of the options referenced in the steps and images of this guide may not be available or may be named differently. Please direct any questions to your laboratory.
Quick Reference
If you have a question about a feature you are working with, F1 will open this guide to the related topic. Contact Laboratory options are available throughout LabOnline to get additional help from your laboratory about a specific sample, workorder, patient, or related record. LabOnline has been tested on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers. It is recommended that you run LabOnline only on these browsers for optimal performance.
What's New in v2023.3?
Order Tests and Bulk Orders for clinical orders now feature a new Diagnosis codes drop-down when configured by the laboratory. Patient name fields have been extended to 60 characters for first names and 100 characters for last names. Additionally, a Suffix field is now available in patient demographics when configured by the laboratory. If your account is on hold (typically due to financial reasons), the Final Report column in the samples, workorders, patients, and reports sections will display "Admin Hold" instead of the report link. For a more complete list of new and enhanced features, refer to the Release Notes.
About LabOnline
LabOnline facilitates the self-service of data by enabling authorized laboratory customers, sample submitters, and report recipients to obtain detailed information about the samples they submit for testing. Users can filter workorders, samples, and results, as well as download and/or print reports that have been created on their behalf. Information inquiries are conducted in a secure environment where the user only has access to permissible samples and results.
